My BIRTH DOULA SERVICES
Doula (pronounced ‘doola‘) is a Greek word meaning ‘woman servant or care giver’.
My goal is to provide you with information, guidance and knowledge during pregnancy so when the time comes for you to birth and meet your baby, you will feel confident, excited, calm and empowered.
I also provide you with emotional and practical support and care throughout pregnancy, labour and the birth of your baby. I encourage and help you find your self-confidence in giving birth and together we explore what is important to you, so we can create your birth wishes.
The importance of continuous physical, emotional and informational support can make a huge difference in the birth space. I always bring a consistent, calming and positive presence as well as years of experience attending most kinds of births. I also create a loving, safe and calm birthing enviroment and I have a bag of tools and tricks that is usually very helpful for pain-relief, relaxation and comfort.
I get it - life with a new baby is a very intense and vulnerable time, and often overwhelming. I have been there, too.
As a doula, I help you transition together with ease and confidence into your postpartum period, and provide your family with support, care, gentle guidance and nourishing foods along the way!

She was paramount in our birth and early postpartum days being a smooth and calm experience, checking in on us regularly, providing words of encouragement and giving Hubby tools to be as hands on as possible.
We felt comfortable and in the safest of hands with Louise answering all our questions and educating us on alternative options when we felt a little pressured by the hospital team.

This is a healing ceremony, a journey back into yourself and a blissful time to acknowledge the immense changes in pregnancy and birth.
I create a sacred healing space.. inspired by the Mexican traditional Closing Of The Bones Ceremony and is designed to offer closure after birth.
